About Ethos

Ethos supports the ICGN Global Stewardship Principles. These principles  offer a market-based, international framework for the highest standards of corporate governance and investor stewardship. They have been established by the International Corporate Global Network (ICGN), a leading voice for the highest standards of corporate governance and investor stewardship worldwide.

Ethos has been a member of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) since 2003. The IIGCC is a forum for collaboration between asset owners and asset managers which was established to address the investment risks and opportunities associated with climate change.

Ethos Services has been a B Corp certified company since 2020. Awarded by the non-profit organisation B Lab, this internationally recognised certification attests to a company's positive social and environmental impact on society.

Ethos has been a signatory of the Principles for Reporting Investment (PRI) since 2006. The PRI offer a menu of possible actions for incorporating ESG issues into investment practice. They were developed by investors, for investors. In implementing them, signatories contribute to developing a more sustainable global financial system. 

Ethos has been a member of the Shareholders for Change network (SFC) since 2018, a group of institutional investors involved in active engagement with corporations to enhance a common social agenda as an essential element of their role as bond – and shareholders.

Ethos has supported and contributed to the deployment of CDP over the years, particularly among Swiss companies. CDP is a not-for-profit organisation that enables companies to draw up standardised reports on their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and other environmental indicators. 

Ethos supports the Access to Medicine Index, an international initiative whose goal is to measure and compare how the different pharmaceutical companies approach policy on access to medicines. The index has been created in 2008 by the Access to Medicine Foundation with the aim of stimulating the pharmaceutical industry to do more for the billions of people lacking access to medicine. 

The Swiss Stewardship Code is a set of guidelines designed to promote the active exercise of shareholder rights in Switzerland in order to achieve financial as well as sustainable and measurable environmental and social performance. The code contains nine principles.
